1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Ostrune interface or its smart contracts, you agree to these terms. They apply to everyone who uses the project. If you are using it on behalf of another person or entity, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for them.
2. What Ostrune is
Ostrune is a set of open-source smart contracts on the Monad blockchain, plus an optional web interface for interacting with them. It lets you place your own funds into a vault that enforces withdrawal rules you choose. It is a self-imposed spending-control tool, not a financial product, exchange, custodian, or investment service.
3. Non-custodial and irreversible
Ostrune is non-custodial. You alone control your vault and its funds. The maintainer cannot access, freeze, move, reverse, or recover your funds, and cannot act on your behalf. Blockchain transactions are final and irreversible. A mistaken amount, a wrong recipient, or a lost key cannot be undone by anyone.
4. Experimental and unaudited
Ostrune has not undergone an independent professional security audit. Smart contracts can contain errors, and blockchain networks and infrastructure can fail. You accept that using experimental software to hold value carries the risk of total loss. Use only funds you can afford to lose.
5. No financial advice
Nothing in Ostrune or its documentation is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The maintainer is not a licensed advisor. You are solely responsible for your decisions and for any applicable taxes.
6. Assumption of risk
You understand and accept the risks of using blockchain-based software, including but not limited to: smart-contract vulnerabilities; the permanent loss of funds; network congestion, forks, or downtime; volatility of digital assets; and failures of wallets or third-party infrastructure. You use Ostrune entirely at your own risk.
7. No warranty
Ostrune is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The maintainer does not warrant that the software is free of defects, secure, uninterrupted, or fit for your purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maintainer of Ostrune is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the project, even if advised of the possibility. Ostrune is provided free of charge as an open-source project.
9. Availability
The interface may change, break, or be taken offline at any time without notice. The maintainer has no obligation to keep it running or to provide support. The smart contracts, however, remain deployed on-chain and can be interacted with directly regardless of whether the interface is available.
10. Third-party services
Ostrune relies on third-party services, including authentication and wallet infrastructure, gas-sponsorship infrastructure, blockchain RPC providers, and hosting. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. The maintainer is not responsible for third-party services and does not control them.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Ostrune for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or funding of illegal activity, and not to use it where doing so would violate the laws that apply to you. You are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your jurisdiction.
12. Eligibility
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use blockchain-based software where you live. Do not use Ostrune if it is prohibited for you.
13. Open-source licence
The Ostrune source code is released under the MIT licence. Your use, copying, and modification of the code are governed by that licence, which is available in the repository. These terms cover your use of the deployed interface and contracts; the licence covers the code itself.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top of the page.
15. Contact
Ostrune is an open-source project. Questions and reports are best raised in the public repository.
